Kitsap County Fire District 18, Poulsbo Fire Department, responds to over 3,000 calls a year and covers 55 square miles from Port Gamble south to Keyport. Four fire stations are located in various parts of the Fire District.









Poulsbo Fire is staffed with professionally trained career firefighters. Career personnel are assigned to one of three shifts (A, B, or C) working traditional Detroit schedule of 24 hours on duty followed by 48 hours off duty. Each shift is assigned; one battalion chief, one captain, two lieutenants, three firefighter/paramedics, and five firefighter/emergency medical technicians.

Full-time staffing occurs at headquarters Station 71 and Station 77. Flex staffing occurs at Station 72. Station 73 is staffed by volunteers. There are also several active volunteer firefighters with the Department who are assigned to the fire station nearest their home.
