Overview
As an all-hazards emergency response agency, the Poulsbo Fire Department responds to approximately 4,600 emergency responses every year, ranging from the simple to the very complex, broadly categorized into “Fire & Service Responses” and “Rescue & Emergency Medical Responses.” Fire Responses include confirmed fires, fire alarm activations, carbon monoxide alarm activations, overpressures and explosions, hazardous materials responses, etc. Rescue & Emergency Medical Responses include all calls where medical assistance is required and can range from non-injury collisions to cardiac arrests. Regardless of the response type, the Poulsbo Fire Department’s professional staff of firefighters, paramedics, and EMTs respond immediately to provide effective and efficient service.
